Omnipresence or Transcendent Reincarnation
In short, Omnipresence is the ability to be present everywhere at the same time. It is not exactly a religious term; however it is used commonly in spiritual doctrines to define a superior, usually a deity figure. In other religions and the Hinduism theory in particular, the transcendent and immanent ubiquity is the divine capacity to be everywhere or in many places at once and it includes unlimited temporal presence. It defines as well as a universal and essential substance, which is the source of all physical existence. To put it bluntly, the divinity is us and we are the divinity. I feel good already ;) Some theologians advocate a deity as having the "Three O's": he knows everything and can be and act everywhere, instantaneously. Most Christian are having a single deity (God) made up of three omnipresent personalities such as Father, Son, and a Holy Spirit. You may find all info about that if you are interested.
From the other hand, Reincarnation in the Indian religious and philosophical doctrine is the concept that the soul begins a new life over and over again. After biological death, the spirit begins living in a new body that may be human, animal or spiritual. Everything depends on the moral worth of the one’s previous life actions. Europeans and North Americans have frequently mention reincarnation in modern-day films, books, and music as well. These two philosophical doctrines, Omnipresence and Reincarnation interlace and intersect each other in many points. That gives an artist tons of creative designs to work with. I tried to interlace several pivotal reality matters such as underwater scape with elements of mountaintops and a French cityscape fragments. There are several intersecting or duplicated, multidimensional realities which exist simultaneously. The formidable sculpture of Buddha in the center blends in with the stream of sharks and live human statuettes. Buddha’s tantric hand gestures or Buddha Mudra mean: first- Teaching Transmission (gesture that evokes the energy of teaching and intellectual discussion), it is not exactly the case but I like it, second - Banishing & Expelling Negativity (gesture is also called warding off the evil). The woman, blue female figure with drawers is a reference to the Salvador Dali "Femme-coccyx" of the Burning Giraffe.
For those who follow my work, this picture should not be a surprise since it is a continuation of the image that I started about a year ago - The Serenity Prayer. “The underwater Buddha picture was originally designed as a snowy landscape background for another work. I hope this picture will grow to the artwork it was initially intended for.” This is the second time, I believe, that I am getting two works out of intended one. I am not sure that I accomplished the initial idea, oh well, it still looks somewhat ok. In addition, it is a 100th work that I created so far, kind of a milestone don’t you think?
