Inadvertent Metamorphosis or King of my Castle

Suspect each moment, for it is a thief, taking away with more than it brings. Metamorphosis in Pathology is a type of deterioration or alteration in which tissues are changed to the structural or functional modification during its development. The saying that I am the king of my castle is true, but... The question remains though. Which castle is one building? Have you ever experienced the feeling that you do not belong to the place you are in? Have you ever wondered if there is something missing in your life? Have you ever realised that reality one is living in is the result of events that one may or might not control? We have relentlessly things to select in our lives, ways to go, left or right, right or wrong, etc. Time brings all things to pass. And one day, after all the life metamorphoses one finds himself in a surreal deserted place, the place with no horizon, and the place with no means to go up or down. So, was the right wrong? Was the left right after all? Where did the time go to make all the correct choices? One might realize too late the meaning of time which turns out to be the gate to wisdom.

And while one’s spirit is still high, the chains of the past are holding down tightly. Perhaps, that is why shiny castle’s towers and turrets slowly become dilapidated grimy dungeons. Once Krishna was asked what is the greatest, astounding thing about people. Krishna replied, "That a man should wake each morning and believe deep in his heart that he will live forever, even though he knows that he is doomed.” Time has no divisions to mark its passage; there is no a thunder or shout of trumpets in havens to declare the beginning of a new day, month or year. That is how we fall in to a set-up of not noticing of it flies away. No matter how many plans you make or how much in control you are, life is always winging it.

I did not make this picture gloomy or sinister as the words above might suggest. After all life is priceless as it is. Even if one did not build it the way one wanted. The formidable sculpture of the Neptune (Greek god Poseidon) fountain, from German’s city Berlin gives the picture a surrealistic sensation of displacement. Neptune’s main domain was the ocean, and earthquakes, but yet he is in the middle of a desert and motionless. You may feel his hidden power, but it is wasted in vain. Adding the Antonio Gaudi architectural elements from La Pedrera - Casa Mila House in Barcelona, with its animalistic modernism makes the whole castle like ensemble alive, but still frozen. Is there a way out to freedom? Sure there is. Dare to fight, dare to chase, dare to start again. How often life gives one the second chance? “Time is a kind of river, an irresistible flood sweeping up men and events and carrying them headlong, one after the other, to the great sea of being.” MARCUS AURELIUS, Meditations
